uncompensated labor of the ancestors of Americans of African
descent during the tyranny of slavery," states Myers who has
repeatedly urged President Bush to recognize and honor the
sacrifice and contributions of enslaved Americans. Thus far,
President Bush has declined Myers' invitations.
